Casa Venecia is located in one of the most convenient and well-positioned areas of Puerto del Carmen, ideal for enjoying Lanzarote without complications. Below you’ll find a practical local guide to nearby services, beaches and points of interest, designed to help you make the most of your stay.
The exact location is shown on the map to help you plan your trip.
Avenida de las Playas
Avenida de las Playas is the main hub of Puerto del Carmen — everything is here and just a short walk from Casa Venecia. Within a 5–7 minute walk you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops and essential services, as well as the seafront promenade and several beach areas perfect for spending the day, enjoying a sunset walk or dining with atmosphere.
If you’re staying without a car, this avenue is your best ally: you can move around on foot, make plans on the go and always have plenty of options close by.
Nearby pharmacies
The accommodation is equipped with a basic first-aid kit.
Less than a 15-minute walk from Casa Venecia you’ll find the Los Arcos pharmacy, ideal for any needs during your stay (regular medication, small emergencies, etc.). In addition, there are other healthcare services and medical centres in the surrounding area, so you’ll be well covered without the need for long journeys.
Hospiten Lanzarote
For added peace of mind, Hospiten Lanzarote is located very close to the accommodation (it can even be seen from the upper area). It is a full-service hospital offering emergency care, specialist departments and appointment-based services. For families, senior travellers or longer stays, having it just a few minutes away is a real advantage: you may never need it… but it’s reassuring to know it’s there.
Transport and Getting Around
The area offers ample public parking, making it convenient if you’re travelling by car. Public transport on the island works well, although for certain routes it helps to know where to go:
- To travel outside Puerto del Carmen by bus, it is usually best to head towards Ramblas Islas Canarias.
- If you want to visit Old Town (the historic and commercial area), the most practical option is to make your way towards the main avenue.
In both cases, you are within 5 minutes or less from Casa Venecia.
Taxi ranks are usually available in the Ramblas area, offering a quick and easy way to get around, especially in the evening or if you are travelling with luggage.
Supermarkets in Puerto del Carmen
On Calle Venecia itself you’ll find a small mini-market, perfect for everyday essentials such as water, bread or quick purchases. Please note that, as a small local shop, prices tend to be slightly higher.
For more substantial grocery shopping or longer stays, we recommend visiting Mercadona or Lidl (both located within Puerto del Carmen), where you’ll find a wider selection and better value for money. In this case, travelling by car or taxi is the most convenient option.
Leisure and shopping
Puerto del Carmen offers a perfect combination of leisure, shopping and seaside walks. As mentioned earlier, Avenida de las Playas is the main axis of the area, with a wide range of shops, terraces and a lively atmosphere both during the day and in the evening.
Just a few minutes away is the area known as El Pueblo, formerly called La Tiñosa, one of the most charming parts of Puerto del Carmen. This is where you’ll find the Biosfera Plaza Shopping Centre, a modern complex featuring a variety of shops, supermarkets, leisure options and an open-air cinema with screenings in several languages.
El Pueblo is also the most picturesque part of the town. From here, a beautiful stretch of the seafront promenade runs from Playa Chica to El Varadero, ideal for a relaxed walk by the sea, enjoying the views and discovering corners full of local character. It is especially recommended for unhurried strolls and experiencing the most authentic atmosphere of Puerto del Carmen.
